What We Do

As high school students we get to work alongside many adult mentors with a broad range of skills. These include; programming, building, fund development, travel arrangements, and communication. During the 6 week build season of the competition we put everything we have learned into designing the new robot. Our mentors, teachers, and coaches are part of our strategy meetings, robot design and build. Together, we learn to use a combination of sophisticated hardware and software that ranges from 3D Printing to laser cutting, as well as integrating computer assisted design into designing of the robot.

Social Responsibility

Our team is continually working to build a better Calgary. For example, in December this past year, our team helped out at the Calgary Food Bank warehouse. At the Calgary Western First Robotics Competition, our team hosts 35 teams from around the world at the school. This event includes food, entertainment and often dignitaries. It is our way of celebrating the spirit of FRC and Calgary.
